The day started off with the Zima (SEIC - Sakhalin Energy) v Olympia (ENL - Exxon Neftgas Limited) soccer game. It was a beautiful day for some outside fun. Will did not play - When the kids asked him if he was playing his response was "daddy has never played soccer and is better off on the sidelines" :-) But we were here to cheer on the rest of the Exxon Team. GO OLYMPIA!!
Getting ready to take the field - Olympia is in blue & Zima in gray
Ash and Sophia intently watching the game
There are no words to explain CJ - He truly marches to the beat of his own drum :-) He insisted on wearing this hat that is too small or his head and likes it to be backwards.
And then there is Atlas (AKA: Hannas's horse who stole the show)
Olympia's little "Pink Lady's"
Mike and his pals - Bryan and Mathias
Olympia lost the game but it was a good time had by all - Now on to the next activity.... CHILI COOK OFF!!!
Sadly... I did not take many pictures at dinner. Something about trying to combat children running a muck (all... not just mine) while trying to make them eat does not lend itself to picture taking :-)
But I did capture these two cute littles pushing and pulling each other all over the place.
CJ and Will and best buds :-)
And now for the main event - Since Texans are coming out of the woodwork here and most are from Texas A&M, they brought with them Aggie Traditional Bonfire but instead of the outhouse stating "Beat the Hell Out Of University of Texas" the residents, like last year, pledge their affiliations on the outhouse.
We had RECORD donations this year. The bigger the pledge the bigger the logo. Clearly Kansas State had top donations this year. ENL raised $12,000 USD for charity here in Yuzhno. I pledged toward the US Navy and Will pledged for the US Army. The Aggies had more than enough supporters :-)
US Navy was the 10th highest pledge - There are other sailors here :-) We got our logo on the roof alongside Texas A&M and St. Bonaventure University - YAY! a fellow NY'er up on top!
More sides of the outhouse and the affiliations
Team Canada with the Toronto Blue Jays
Team Great Britain and Sakhalin International School
Team effort to light this beast
Two of my favorite people - Will and Hannah
CJ the ladies man - Hannah and Inna are suckers when it come to him! Can you blame them! He's a good looking boy!
Some of the kids watching the fire - Miss Sophia just having a blast!
Nicholas and Ash having a tickle fest and realize then have been "caught"
The Boys - Michael, Bryan and Ben
Pure amazement!
CJ took on a bit of an ambitious task... He truly thought he could pull Will in the Wagon. He struggled, grunted, got frustrated.... SO FUNNY
Ben and Mike having a very in depth conversation with Will about the fire
For as lat as these kids were up they were in such good spirits and having so much fun
They started a game called "zombies" and they were walking around like the Walking Dead :-) Not quite sure how either of these 4 year old boys know about zombies... I blame school :-)
We rounded up the troops at 930pm and headed home. Probably the best decision seeing that all three kids fell completely apart as soon as we walked in the door. Luckily all we had to do was walk across the street :-)
Until next year Olympia "Aggie" Bonfire! Thanks for a good time!
