Our first leg was Yuzhno to Incheon (3.5 hours) then Incheon to Sydney (9 hours 45 minutes). Not so bad since every time we fly anywhere it is a long leg. The problem was we had an 8hr layover in Korea! I it was just Will and I it obviously would have been easy - WE WOULD SLEEP! But when traveling with kids it is a whole new ball game.
But first lets talk about that flight out of Yuzhno. Its pretty standard get on he plane and go. In my opinion this take off was very different. It was a smooth take off, there were a couple of bumps but we took a very hard bank and it was like being on a roller coaster when you go around really fast and start to feel like your going to black out. That's what it felt like. Maybe I was the only one who felt like that because I am an nervous and anxious flyer to begin with.
As soon as we came out of the bank we had a a second of weightlessness so the plane could level itself out and my darling daughter screams "WERE GOING DOWN!!!". Three words you never want to hear on a plane :-) Lucky for her and her innocent mind the other passengers just laughed.
They are becoming experts at this whole flying thing
Yes... I am the person who takes pictures out of the plane - Korea is Pretty
"Mom - were done with pictures"
We got on the train to head over to International Transfers. Conveniently there were three red feet for them to stand on :-)
So remember how I said 8 hours? We spent 6 of the 8 right here!!! I hope one day they appreciate what we do for them :-) There was another Yuzhno family in here as well so we "sucked it up" together! They were on their way to India and had 7hr layover.
Korean Cultural Parade
My Little Pony Rainbow Rocks movie entertained others as well
We boarded at 8pm on Asiana Airlines (great airline by the way, easy to see how it was Airline of the Year 5yrs in a row) and Ash was asleep before we even took off! 1 down 2 to go. Boys started to fall asleep as we were cruising down the runway and were out 10 minutes later. They are cute :-) Mike and CJ played "musical sleep positions" for a large portion of the flight.
Mike - Slept 5 hours, woke up and watched 40 minutes of Mickey Mouse then fell back asleep for 3 hours then was up for the rest.
CJ - Slept 8 hours then was up for the last part.
The kids and I have never been south of the Equator so I took a pic as we were crossing. Couldn't help myself.
I told ya.... Musical Sleep Positions
Windows are up and were landing within the hour. Yes, Ash is STILL sleeping. She slept the whole flight.
More plane pics - Things are so pretty from above. I was actually suprised at how green everything was. I know West Australia is more "Outback" looking but I guess I didn't expect so much green.
