Cruise Day 2 - Newcastle

The ship docked at about 7am and since we did not have an organized tour or excursion we took to Newcastle ourselves and took our time departing the boat. We had a wonderful breakfast and headed out after that.

Some photos from the ship of Newcastle

Pretty place - I was told that this was an old mining city and since the industry has died out it is turning into a ghost town or a "dying" city. They are trying to revive it buy adding new waterfront attractions like restaurants, bars, and hotels.

8:45am and CJ has his "Lazy Legs" on again!

Cute little streets

I took a few pictures here - Anglican Christ Cathedral - It is nice to see Gothic cathedrals! I think they are so pretty

CJ still had his lazy legs on so he missed out on this awesome photo opp!

He wakes up for water related "things" - He was in his happy place

I thought he was going in for a second

Walking through Foreshore Park

Now that he has been moved from the water he decided to protest "walking" - This is a new development that I am not to happy about :-) He just sits down and "tests" me - I say Bye Bye CJ and walk off. He then screams and cries and follows.

Happy family! I swear Will is happy :-)

This was the coolest tree and the kids made "swords" out of the fallen bristles

She was collecting certain colors and trying to "pattern" them in her hand.

It's the little things in life that make them happy

Ash and Mike kept calling themselves the Three Mouseketeers - I was waiting for them to start yelling "All for one, One for All" :-)

He and I were having a discussion about him having to walk - He was thinking about protesting again.

We found a cute little park and the kids ran around for a bit

Mike kept the bristles from the tree and used it as a lasso. Kids truly wants to be a Cowboy when he grows up.

She could have slept if I let her

Pretty Park!

I knew his obedience was short lived.... He's protesting again

So clearly his protest worked - He went into a full fit and it was rather embarrassing. I strapped him in only for him to decide he wanted to walk. Nope! He stayed mad and in the sack!

FYI - Not sure how or why Mike knows to make the "duck face" while taking a selfie.

Back to the boat we go. Kids were hungry, I was tired of hauling the Not So "Small Fry", Will's head was burning, oh did I mention all the HILLS!!!! Holy cow, I got a leg workout from hell today!

Father and Daughter had a bonding day - Mike was less than thrilled about this by the way :-)

We got back on the boat and went straight to lunch. Ash had been asking or the swimming pool for a long time so after lunch I took her and CJ while Mike napped. Will stayed behind.

It was COLD!!!! Very windy but they didn't care. Both of these kids are my little water babies. It could be an ice bath and they will go in the water.

This does not look like the face of someone who is having fun but he was having a blast

Bull Frogs!

SO COLD BUT MUST HAVE ICE CREAM!!

I'm not so sure about them :-)
