- 15 Degrees Fahrenheit Won't Stop Us! Or.... So We Thought......

We planned on a Sunday Snowboard trip for some time. What we did not bank on is the fact that it was - 15 F outside!!! Good God that was COLD!!! And it was only colder on the mountain. We had a sitter form 10 to 2 and 4 hours is more than enough time. I'm usually pretty tired after a few hours on the mountain.

It was so cold yet so beautiful. I know I post so many pictures from the mountain but when I was boarding in NY the mountains NEVER overlooked the city. Maybe smallish towns but never the city. This is a sight that I may never get used to :-)

Like I said.... It was cold. We went into full ninja mode with face masks and ya know what... I WAS STILL FREEZING. I guess at that temperature it does not matter what you have on, you will still freeze.

Hehe I told him he looked like a fly mixed with a little Scorpion from Mortal Kombat

I'm not much more flattering in this get up so I really had no room to laugh at him

It was SOOO much colder at the top. It's a relatively small peak. Maybe 2000 ft high if that. But still, being that high when its - 15 on the ground is cold. It was almost unbearable. The wind had picked up and all I cold think about was getting down. BUT.... first I had to take come pictures of some of the other peaks and other scenery.

The Serpentine run is really pretty. Although it is flat in areas so its actually hard for snowboarders to maintain speed but it is a green run and perfect for learning in Will's case

Now we are back to the half way point. Our fingers and toes were frozen. We actually called for a car to return early because we could not take the cold anymore

Will had a fabulous last run and I was so proud of him. I sacrificed the warmth of my hands to remove my gloves and take pictures :-) The things we do for the ones we love right!!!
