Moscow, Russia ~ Part 4 ~ Bolshoi Theater

HOLY COW!!! The Bolshoi Theater, one of the most iconic theaters in the world! We researched the performances that were playing during the time we were there but it was only Opera's on the historic stage, not ballet. The ballet began the day we left. I went back and fourth on whether or not I wanted to see an opera. Afterall, they are kind of boring and I'd much rather prefer to see the ballet. However, we asked the concierge to see if tickets were available because the website showed sold out for all the showings during our 4 day period. It was the day of the performance when two tickets became available and we decided that we could not pass up an opportunity to sit in this famous theater. Did I mention that the hotel came up with two tickets, 2nd row from the stage!!! I do not think I have sit that close in US theaters. We lucked out BIG TIME!!! So... After a busy day in the markets and museum, headed to the theater. Sunday was a super busy day.

And there it is folks... The Bolshoi Theater

Theater District

Stunningly Beautiful!

Inside the main auditorium - Seats all the way to the ceiling and the big box is where the Czar and his family would sit

We saw The Enchantress and it was beautiful. There was a screen at the top that gave the Russian and English versions. Overall a great experience and so glad that we went!
